Oscar tonight has been immense alongside Paulinho. Love to see another cheeky bid for Paulinho to join us, would be a step up from most of our team and his link-up play with Oscar and co. is brilliant. Any chance of another bid Ed?

What is the situation with van ginkel, I know of interest but has anything formally been agreed?

Can somebody tell me why everybody thinks oscar is better when he plays deeper? as far as I can remember he played about 20 minutes last season as a deep lying playmaker. And I assume that nobody watched him at Internacional or Sau paulo - he doesn't play that position for Brazil either.

It's exactly where he plays for brazil, either 2 man midfield deep role or midfield 3.

He played that position in the Olympics. He can play various roles and I think his qualities will suit an eventual transition to a deep-lying playmaker.

He's played a lot next to ramires for brazil. And we need a playmaker from deep.

I think he would be at his best in a midfield three.

Next season, what should we do with Piazon, Chalobah, T Hazard, Marin, Kakuta, Kalas, PVA, Ake, Omenuro, McEachran, Hutchinson, Wallace and RLC?
In my opinion:
Loan Piazon to someone like Southampton who expressed an interest in him and gives him minutes.
Chalobah could be loaned out back to someone like Hull (or a lower-midtable club) in order to gain valuable EPL playing time.
Thorgan Hazard should either get an EPL loan similar to Piazon or be loaned to Vitesse to take Van Ginkel's spot when he joins us.
Marin can either be loaned or sold to someone who needs wingers and I believe Crystal Palace amongst others have displayed interest? Or why not try and loan him to a Bundesliga team that need a playmaker (e. g Hamburg or Bremen).
Kakuta needs to get a chance in pre-season then either be a squad player or sold, I still think he is a great young talent and would like him in the squad as I think he could be more effective compared to someone like Moses.
Kalas should be kept as RB cover if Ivanovic leaves like some people think he will or get an EPL loan. Why not give Steve Clarke another helping hand at WBA and loan him a top quality young RB for him to smoothen out like he did with Lukaku?
PVA can be kept as cover for Cole because I think he is better than Bertrand and will be a useful squad player.
Ake should be available in rotation and used in the FA cup, COC and some EPL games to nurture his talent.
Omenuro: Young talent should be loaned to Vitesse to take Kalas's squad spot and get valuable game time.
McEachran: Make or break for him, needs a good pre-season to stay as a squad player and maybe re-assert himself in the right direction or sold. Shame because he looked such a talent.
Hutchinson is a top guy and has worked so hard to get himself back to playing and his love for our club shows he truly bleeds blue. Loan him out to the Championship again or give him a permanent sale so he can find his place in football. Top man though, 10/10 for effort and commitment.
Wallace: No work permit for the talented youngster so go for a loan to Italy and try again next time.
Loftus-Cheek needs game time so either use him in the U21's or loan him out to a league 1/lower Championship team so he can develop further.
Any thoughts on these ideas?

How can you say its make or break for Josh who has just turned 20, when you describe Kakuta as a young talent who needs a chance, who is 22 next week. For the record I don't think either will make it at Chelsea but Josh has a much bigger chance tha Kakuta has

Think you will find Saints are not in to loaning players-unless some "emergency" develops through the season.
We are more interested in developing our own side, rather than doing it for a rival team.

Really Saint Martin? So that's why Southampton have confirmed interest in taking Lucas Piazon on loan?
I think you'll find Pochettino rates him very highly and would love to be able to utilise his young talent.

Having seen very very little of Van Ginkel would it be fair to say that hi is similar in style to a young Michael Ballack?

Mangala, Inigo Martinez or Papadopoulos? Who'd you try to sign the most? Personally I'd go for Martinez or Mangala. But if Mangala would cost a whole lot more than 20m, then surely I'd try for Martinez.

Subotic is a good shout indeed. Reason I didn't include him is because I really don't think he's going to move. His club don't want him gone and I think the player himself has said he wants to stay as well

I know many Chelsea fans will hate me including some eds but I think Torres should be given a chance next season. I have a feeling that Torres is getting back to form he used to have before. He lost his confidence and Mourinho could help him getting it back. Anyway I don't think he should be sold.

I agree Torres should be kept, he did improve as the season went on and if what he has supposedly said to the Spanish press is making all the right noises.

Yes he had improved greatly towards end of season. If there is one man who can get him back to his best it is Jose. If he can then there is no one better.

I'm a united fan and hope he gets back to his best. In all fairness Benjtez improved him and Jose will continue that. Benitez needs to be given credit. He's improved a lot if your squad and Jose will reap the benefits. It seems to me that when he does you'll be blind and give Jose all the credit. For the record; I can't stand Benitez but he's done a better job than people think. It's not just winning trophies. He's made it easier for Jose to drop established players and brought others on! You'll be a force next year! May the best team win!

I'm so sick of these mata rumours, he just said the other day that he is looking forward to challenging for the league title next season. The only way I'd sell him is if we already had a deal in place to sign Bale.
