Haven't posted in a while and don't do so often anymore.
Looking forward to the new season immensely, Batshuyia already signed is great news, Kante would be an incredible signing, if he can retain his form of last season, and a further centre back in the name of Koulibaly, would make me a very excited fan
A couple of other additions, and holding onto Caudrado will be our best summer in years.

I'd be over the moon with Kante. But we still haven't addressed a major problem in the CB position. Bonucci would make a brilliant summer but I doubt I will happen so I'll settle for Koulibaly.

Hey Folks,
Just a general question particularly for people who follow football in the Serie A.
If both players were fully fit, at the very top of their games based on the form shown throughout their playing careers to date and if they were going to cost the Club exactly the same financially, out of Kalidou Koulibaly and Kostas Manolas.
Who would You rather sign and why, I'm curious to know as I've seen very little of either player in real time.

I have watched both players on a couple of occasions (not often but thought I'd give my opinion anyway) and I believe Manolas is the better of the two currently. Both technically very sound for centre backs who are good on the ball and both read the game fairly well. My main concern with Manolas is his physicality. He isn't small or anything like that but I feel he may struggle in the premier league. Koulibaly on the other hand can sometimes be a little rash and careless picking up silly bookings for diving into the tackle and almost being too enthusiastic. My head says Manolas but I think Koulibaly is an extremely interesting option.

I would prefer signing Maquinhos above them two. But Ed never mentioned him so I assume that he demand CL football or something like that, which makes us out of the picture ( even with Barcelona bought Umtiti) .
And for your question - I would prefer Manolas cause i'm sick of the way De Laurentis do the business ( remember Cavani saga? )

Hey ED, who do you think will be the main contenders for the 3 potential CB roles bearing in mind we have Terry, Zouma, Cahill, Miazga, Djilibodgy, Hector. and are still interested in Bonucci and Koulibaly.

Ed002, as a more general question, can I ask about how transfers work from a scouting perspective? Do managers just give scouts a list of attributes to look for in a player, or do they have specific names in mind when they start scouting? Thanks in advance.
