Alright ed I no it's probably rubbish and rumours about Freddy guarin. But he looks like a powerful lad and someone who would add something to our squad. Is he a defensive midfielder or an attacking one?

Thanks.

Bit of an odd question for you ed, but what do you think Steve Clarke may do in regards to a new job now? Shame he got sacked, as there isn't much chance of WBA finding a better suited manager of their position, but do you think he will find another premier league managerial position, or go back in to an assistant manager role?

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea at this time.}

Thanks for the reply Ed. Its a bit of a tough one at this time, because he did so well as an independent permanent manager, but I do feel he is better suited to an assistants role, like he was when Mourinho first came in, although I'd hate to see him anywhere else other than Chelsea.

After watching Suarez today I find it unbelievable that we are being approached by Suarez representatives and telling them we have no interest. The bloke is arguably the best player in the world right now. He is everything we need in our striker - can take the ball to feet/ in behind, always on the move creating space, closes down high up the pitch, links up play and just has an determination to score loads of goals, plus has proven himself in the prem. Fair enough he comes with baggage but I know that our lads would be ecstatic about a player of that quality joining the squad. Wether Liverpool would sell to us is another issue.

Just like Torres once was, ahhh good times. Anyway Here is an idea, how about, now I know it might sound strange and unheard of but how about we give the players we have i.e Lukaku a chance to prove he can do a job. Just saying.

Agree0 Disagree0

In fairness Torres's last 4 months at Liverpool he wasn't fit and was hardly scoring, Suarez is the best striker in world at the moment as much as I hate him( because his at Liverpool) and with our leaky defence we face him this month,

Agree0 Disagree0

Nah Suarez is performing way better than Torres was at any stretch of time at Liverpool. Suarez is the best player in the world right now, and I remember Torres being good but never the best in the world. We also bought Torres injured whereas if we buy Suarez we are buying a player at the top of his game. Lukaku will get his chance next year with Suarez.

Torres was once the third best player in the world behind Kaka and Ronaldo respectively after the euros and a great season with Liverpool just as suarez is right now behind Ronaldo and Messi some may argue Ibrahimovic and Ribery who is currently in the 3 man shortlist, so as great as Suarez is I hope we don't get him so we can learn to give our youngsters a chance and maybe when an upcoming player is on and about like suarez was when Liverpool bought him we will take a chance and not always pay a fortune to get a player some other team were smart enough to take a chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Drogba was still a better striker In my opinion in 2008 and if u look at the statistics then Suarez is better than Ronaldo and certainly Messi right now (injured). I guess we will just have to agree to disagree then.

Agree0 Disagree0

You bought Torres when he was on a downward spiral (performances at Liverpool were poor), and he simply never got back to the standard he was at during his first couple of seasons at Liverpool where he was quite frankly, amazing.
If you bought Suarez right now, for his technical ability, I couldn't see the same thing happening.

Wow, Piazon straight up ballin this season. Bagged himself another brace (and an assist as well?) today. Great to see him doing so well in Holland.
The level of competition might not be the best but he's just playing amazingly at the moment.
I also read he's a pretty hard worker on the pitch so could be a player suited to Mourinho. If he keeps this up, I hope he gets a shot at the 1st team next year.

I'm always a Jose Mourinho critic but u can't blame him for yesterday's scoreline and game as a whole. We dominated the game from start to finish and created loads of scoring chances. Only our clinical edge let us down and that is not due to Jose, we've been like that for years now! Torres, Ramires could have had hat tricks. Mata's substitution was right because for the entire hour, he wasn't in the game, and at that time with the scoreline, we needed to track their runners more which Oscar did to greater effect even though he had a somewhat quiet game by his standard. The scoreline was scary so the team had to play with caution and they all fought hard for the result. There are no easy games in this league, especially against the so-called 'small teams' - they have a way of frustrating the opponent and playing to their strengths, plus we all know what Tony Pulis does with his teams; they did exactly that! It's not as if we were outplayed by Palace for a minute. And the ref didn't help at all. They just tried to copy what Stoke did - I think we learned from that undeserved defeat. Kudos to the lads for the hard fought win. Do Stoke and Palace have something in common?

Essien has still got it aswell. Tackle tackle tackle. Oscar defended better than mata, but as soon as mata went off we lost that link up from def/mid to the attackers. Completely lost it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fair assessment. I thought Willian looked positive instead of passing the ball backwards. Torres sorry not good enough.

Totally agree with BLUEBOY1, I wanted to post the exact same thing after the game but didn't want to sound gloomy.the moment Mata left, so did the flow of our game. He might not defend like oscar but he is still very important for us and that's a fact.

Agree0 Disagree0

What do you guys think of this line up, maybe not v arsenal but
Cech
Ivanovic terry luiz

Hazard ramires mikel Oscar shurrle

Mata
Torres
351? Jose has switched to 3 at back few times and looked good although it's been to chase result for last minutes,

Not bad but willian on for schurrle he works really hard and would be a better option. Don't think we'll ever see that but not bad tho.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a way of getting Oscar in to start moves off quickly and his energy and mata on and without preasure of having to track back as he would have mikel Oscar rami there, something's just not clicking this year so far, is it our formation or too many similar players lack of CM, not having world class goal scorer,

I hope to god thatjose is on the phone now to Steve Clarke telling him to come home! Steve will get our defence solid again and help team as much as any signing

You know what? I thought exactly the same.

Arsenal got smashed today but created chances again and again and should of really scored a few more. I genuinely worry for next Monday because we can't defend and are conceding against palace stoke Sunderland now face arsenal! Were in a great position and could go top but we need to kill teams off and get scoring.
