Ed002, do expect the club to make efforts to sign Maraoune Fellaini, Andre Schurrle and Radamel Falcao during the summer transfer window?Thanks as ever. {Ed002's Note - To some extent yes.}

Ok, thanks Ed.

God! I hope we don't sign Fellaini.

if you guys are wanting us to get a strong powerful and young CB then we should get Jores Okore. remember that guy who played us in the champions league for nordesjland?

what do you guys think?

Fahim

Believable2 Unbelievable1

We've already got ake, chalobah, kalas, and omeruo who are close in terms of developement level to okore and all are capable of playing centre half.

Tk

Agree2 Disagree0

Okore is head and shoulders above any loanee Chelsea defenders and David Luiz

Agree0 Disagree0

You have absolutely no evidence of that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Watching a player is not evidence?

Agree0 Disagree0

Not if he is playing in a weak league against weak players.

Agree0 Disagree0

I could watch Emile Heskey on the tele box, doesn't mean he is a good player!

Agree0 Disagree0

He might be ahead but he's also 2-3 years older than chalobah and ake who are the main two currently.

Ed, is Dede likely to be moving to Cruzeiro? {Ed002's Note - See previous answers.}

Would Chelsea fans prefer to stay as CB next season or move him into midfield. Personally I would prefer him in midfield and then a new CB bought.

Believable1 Unbelievable0

LUIZ

Agree0 Disagree0

I assume you mean Luiz and for me it comes down to the fact that we can find a centre half to fit our needs easier than a centre mid so therefore play him in the middle of the midfield.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes tk give the youngsters a chance. Oscar luiz should be our centre mids. With mceachran, Ramires, mikel and challobah.

Will Hulk be moving in the summer ed002? {Ed002's Note - Not as far as I know.}

To those that think rafa is doing well.

The date of our last away victory in the league.

12th of January

Believable3 Unbelievable1

Looking forward to the Fulham and Liverpool games now. NOT!

All this talk about signing a striker (falcao), winger (Schurrie) and central midfielder (fellani) what the performances over this season have shown is we desperately need a strong pacey centre back. Please take note roman.

Believable1 Unbelievable3

I think Luiz is fine there.

Agree1 Disagree4

Dede?

Agree0 Disagree1

We should go for Subotic or Humeels, move Luiz to CM permanently

Wow, Aguero's just went without a ban, Absolute Joke, What a joke the FA is, next they'll ban Luiz for Diving!

JMJW

Believable7 Unbelievable1

Of course such incidents should be dealt with and had the ref seen the incident then Man City probably would have been down to 10 men. Alas he didnt
So would it benefit us for him now to receive a 3 game ban? Quite simply he would be banned for the Wigna, Spurs and West Ham games so as Man City are just about there in 2nd place I am glad he will be available to play against Spurs

Agree2 Disagree1

They said the linesman saw it so they couldn't act (stupid rule I know) but I'm glad he wasn't suspended because he would've missed the spurs game.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree1

I suppose, need a City win then, but its a shame that the FA always seems against us.

OMG what a disgrace, the FA is a absolute joke, Hazard gets a 3 match ban for kicking a ball under a ball boy, Aguero makes a 2 footed blatant lunge on Luiz back and gets away with it. I hope Chelsea get their lawyers involved, absolute disgrace. {Ed002's Note - Lawyers?}

Believable3 Unbelievable1

The FA is and has been for a while a complete shambles!
Just goes to show how out of touch they and there rules are with modern football!

what would other chelsea fans think if we got Wanyama in the summer?

Believable4 Unbelievable1

He would fit the bill we need a powerful holding midfielder

CfcBenWxm

Agree2 Disagree1

He looks a very decent player but other than a few champ league appearances he is totally untested at any sort of respectable level. Speaking as a chelsea fan from north of the border.

Agree2 Disagree1

He's in the mold of someone I want but I think there are better options.

I can't wait to see Mourinho work his magic with hazard as he did with Joe Cole, he made him a much better team player!
One Bomb Tom

Believable1 Unbelievable2

He also made Joe a much less spontaneous player in that process and as a result I don't think we really saw how good a player he could have been which is a shame. He had unbelievable technique and vision, but ended up more as a midfield workhorse within the squad. Don't get me wrong, Joey was a fantastic servant to the club, and Mourihno did make him a more solid all round player, but he did loose that spark in the process. I think that Hazard has improved a great deal this season in terms of tracking back, but he needs to be given the freedom to play his own game when going forward. Hopefully whoever takes over sees that. I shouldn't think it will be a problem as Hazard has slightly more in his bag than Joe did.

Agree2 Disagree1

Before his injury on international duty, Joe Cole was an absolute magician for us. He never properly recovered afterwards. I don't see how anyone can blame Mourinho for any of that.

Agree2 Disagree0

I agree did he did make him work hard and before that he wouldn't help out at the back where as Hazard kind of does already, but Mourinho has worked well his flair players at Madrid so maybe he knows how to coach them better to get the most from them.

Ed, ignoring speculation over who, has a decision been made by the club over who they will approach as "number 1 target" to manage the side next season, or is that still in flux? {Ed002's Note - Why is it so difficult to grasp what I said?}

Come on the fellas who are top holding midfielders with bit of power and muscle who we need?
Matty

Believable2 Unbelievable1

Arthurian Vidal or Fellaini!

I'd take either, and sack Mikel off! He cost us again yesterday, watch his marking for the second goal, he wonders off ball watching and leaves Ivanovic with 2 men and Aguero scores. Sell him ASAP, as for the Europa League lack of motivation comment, that tells you enough about him!

Chelsea Nick

Agree3 Disagree2

Wanyama?

Agree4 Disagree0

It does not really work this way. It looks like you are trying to find a player for the system, when in fact it should be the system which brings the best out of our players.

Switching to 4-2-3-1 has made a great deal to Mata's progress and overall display, but has left the one's playing behind him susceptible to constant mistakes.

It's pretty much safe to say, that the 2 player midfield does not suit the qualities of neither Obi, Rami or Lampard and an injury to Romeu brings even more pressure to that part of the field.

In an ideal world you'd look at a combo of someone like Khedira and Xabi Alonso, or Bender and Gundogan. (A tackler and a passer, but that position requires pace, high footballing iq, tackling and passing). It does not suit Ramires, who was one of our heroes of last campaign.

If we can not bring in top guys to the position, we should just revert to 4-3-3 playing Mata on the right to Hazard on the left and deploying a midfirld of Rami, Obi and Oscar. Otherwise we are just shooting ourselves in the foot. With all the magic that Mata brings through the middle we are being "compensated" with goals floating into our net at alarming pace.

Wanyama

Agree1 Disagree0

Essien

Agree0 Disagree0

Vidal?

Agree1 Disagree0

Vidal. But I doubt Vidal would leave Juve.

There is also Fredy Guarin but he is slightly more offensive.

Wanyama

De Rossi

Agree1 Disagree0

Perhaps if Conte comes, he can bring Pogba with him

Franco

Agree0 Disagree3

Pogba is a good shout. fellaini is good but better playing further is field as he has done this season and wanayna is good call too.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Wanyama and Luiz could work there

Agree3 Disagree0

Fellaini isn't a great powerful defensive midfielder.

Agree3 Disagree0

Fernando from Porto. Vidal from juve. Fernandinho from shakhter. Or just play nathaniel challobah!

Agree1 Disagree0

I wouldn't class fernandinho as a midfield powerhouse!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think regardless of the system we play we still need the same player which is a beast in the midfield. If Yaya toures performance this weekend didn't make that clear idk what will.

Tk

Agree0 Disagree0

Nor was makelele but I can't say I know a better defensive midfielder

I must say that for me the last few games Fernando Torres seems to playing quality and has been one of our better players. Pace, zip and causing defenders problems. I think the Mask has really helped his confidence somehow.

I'm a usual critic of his but full marks of late.

after yesterdays game its clear we need an enforcer in the middle. that's where we lost the battle mikel clearly is not up to it. it was to easy for yaya I think we should be using luiz in there again big strong good control can pass and not afraid of a challenge.
