I haven't posted for a while and because of my illness I will not be able to post as much as I used to.
I have continued to read the majority of posts on the site and I would like to make some comments.
(a) My condolences to the friends and family of Ken Shellito.
I was lucky to see Ken play many times and in my opinion he could well have been a World Cup winner if injury hadn't intervened.
(b) We are still playing well and remain unbeaten this season. I think we will run City close for the Premiership.
(c) My fellow posters know I'm a Morata fan and I believe he is showing vast improvement this season. I am confident that he will score 20 goals plus this season.
(d) I'm looking at our on the pitch leaders and I'm beginning to think Rudi could be a natural.
(e) I think it's very likely that both Drinkwater and Moses will be leaving at Christmas. I hope this allows some of the younger players more match time.

I hope to post one or two more times before Christmas but In case I can't. I hope you all have a fantastic time and we all have a healthy and successful New Year.

Come on my mighty BLUES.

Would you know if Fifa are still investigating alleged transfer irregularities which invlove the club signing minors?
I gather something has surfaced through footie leaks but not sure how this would affect previous investigations.
Many thanks.

{Ed002's Note - there are on going investigations about the transfer of minors from South America which are the main focus - in particular where passports of convenience have been obtained. Other investigations about minors have resulted in Liverpool and Everton being punished, further questions being asked of Manchester City but Chelsea and Arsenal have both answered the questions raised }

Kind of you to post on the Chelsea site Ed 002.
Have you answered the question anywhere else about changes that might come in regard to limiting the number of overseas players in PL squads after Brexit?
Not that I understand what Brexit has to do with it!
Thanks again.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - it is unrelated to brexit but different countries have different rules and there have been discussions about the number of non HG players in match day squads, but it would be a major change.}

13 Nov 2018 14:00:31
Presumably the PL clubs would have a fairly strong position on this if it meant them being unable to compete with other top European clubs?
Personally I would like to see a requirement for at least one academy player in every starting lineup and maybe two on the bench.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Yes, the clubs don’t like it. There have been many proposals made regarding the make but it is not possible to force clubs to effectively keep and use players they may not want to.}

If the FA were to impose rules regarding HG players in match day squads that were seen as too stringent, wouldn't that just further encourage a European breakaway league?

Rudiger - "There was a game on last night that's maybe important to us. But we failed to do our own job. If we don't win these kind of games, we don't need to look at City and Liverpool. Do we need to improve on getting three draws at home out of four? That's clear".

This man is a true leader and my captain. His passion to win is undisputed, he is critical when he needs to be and that is how it should be, dropping points hurts and that's how it should be. 3 draws out of 4 at home is a poor stat. Not good enough.

Unlike other players he speaks his heart. We should have closed out the Liverpool game and we should have beaten both Everton and West Ham but as usual very wasteful in front of goal, no excuses. Too many inconsistent performers in the squad.

At the moment that is the difference between us and Man City/ Liverpool. City have drew against Wolves which was the only negative. Liverpool have drew against City, Chelsea and Arsenal. Moral of the story the other teams are usually gobbled up.

he also rolls round on the floor having sly looks at the ref when a midget squared up to his chest hahaha.

The midget should not have dived.

By the way the midgets attempt at goal was the Worst attempt in history but that's what happens when you come with negative tactics, you forget the art of shooting lol.

CFC shak, i agree that Man City is on another level. But come on, stop believing this rubbish Hype from pundits about Liverpool. They are no where near as good this season as everyone is raving, they got few lucky results and are not playing similarly to what they did last season.

not negative to defend well against a top team mate, we had six attempts at goal away from home against an unbeaten team not exactly 11 men behind the ball parking the bus is it? and let's not get into dives, bernard went down easy but good god what was rudiger playing at hahahaha.

ChelseaLRD, I hate to admit this but Liverpool look strong mate. I think VVD and Alison have improved their squad massively. Their defence which used to be wobbly is now on current form up with the best. Credit where it's due. They have drawn against top teams and are blowing away the rest. Even when they are playing poorly they manage to scrape a win which is brilliant. Man City look dangerous and I won't bother talking about them.

However, we need to improve massively. There is no excuse for us not beating West Ham and Everton. Morata is blowing hot and cold. Unless he starts scoring then it's clear we will struggle. We are too reliant on Hazard and his goals. We need other players like Willian, Pedro, Barkley to really stat chipping in with goals.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - the reason chelsea never beat everton shak is 1..everton played very well, and 2...morata is about as much use as a chocolate fire guard mate..
