Use our rumours form to send us chelsea transfer rumours.

13 May 2015 23:21:38
There's a lot of rumours around that a new LB will be needed as it looks as though Luis will be going back to atletico whether it's part of another transfer remains to be seen so I just want to highlight the list of potential targets we could go for:

Gaya - Very unlikely with the new contract just signed.

Rodriguez - Fantastic player and he should be at a better club than Wolfsburg, would also give us another dimension with crossing and free kicks.

Rahman - Some might not have heard about him. He's Ghanaian and plays for Augsburg and he's been one of the best LB's in the bundesliga this season alongside Bernat and Rodriguez. Nearly 21, looks to be on his way to being a fantastic LB and maybe could be a good rotation option until Ivanovic moves on and then Azpilicueta back to RB?

Coentrao - Quality player who is proven and looks like he may be available. Will Jose go Portuguese? Maybe a stop gap for Jay Da Silva.

Cresswell - We've been linked but I'm not convinced personally.

My personal choice would be Rodriguez (although doubt there is interest) but even if we signed him I don't think Jose would drop either Branna or Azpi and he's way to good to be on the bench. So my choice would be Rahman unless Jose drops Ivanovic otherwise then it would be Rodriguez.

Let me know your thoughts guys. Cheers

I heard from somewhere that Rodriguez was built as an offensive LB, it means his defending skills is quite bad. He usually expose himself when going forward. Furthermore, his crossing accuracy ratio is also not so high. Maybe a version of Luis that we got already. But u know Mourinho and his style, that's why Dave won the race.

I really wouldn't be surprised with coentrao. Connections to jose, his club wants to sell (unlike the rest on that list), and I think as you said he would provide a bridge to jay da silva who seems to be the real deal.

We actually play with a holding left back to accommodate JT's lack of pace and also give Hazard more freedom so I would like a left back who can defend first and foremast like Dave.

13 May 2015 22:02:47
If chelsea lose Mikel and Ramires then I feel that we should sign Griezmann because he could play striker if Costa gets injured also Attacking Midfield and sometimes if Hazard moves into CAM then Griezmann could go onto the left
Koke would also be a good signing because he could do exactly what Griezmann does. I feel that Chelsea should loan out Oscar for a bit (only if we sign Griezmann) because he won't get much 1st team action with the French man around and he is a great young talent and it would be a shame to see him ruin his potential
Robert Green or Begovic would be good signings for a backup keeper if Cech leaves

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed018's Note - Oscar will not be loaned out and I really have no idea what losing Mikel and Ramires has to do with Griezmann}

13 May 2015 22:26:07
Koke or Andre Gomes could effectively replace Ramires in the squad. And then we've got RLC who could perhaps fill the spot of the other player leaving. I was very impressed by RLC's defensive game. He really harrassed Coutinho, who was one of the players shortlisted for Player of the Year. No mean feat, especially for his first Premier League start. Maybe next time we can see some more offensive involvement but as I said, his defensive game impressed me very much.
Oscar has to stay in the first team and should get plenty of minutes. He's a fantastic player.

13 May 2015 22:50:03
Oscar on loan 😂😂😂

14 May 2015 09:16:48
How does an attacking winger sometimes through the middle come close to replacing ramires and Mikel? Ok he can replace schurrle or salah. That makes sense. Our squad was a tad small. We need central midfielders if those two left. Koke and pjanic for me. Lofts cheek coming in aswell.

14 May 2015 21:52:02
If Cuadrado moves into cam Oscar could go Cm and grief man on the wing

Agree0 Disagree1

14 May 2015 22:33:17
chelsea_fans._ are you ok mate? There's no chance chelsea would loan out Oscar.he's someone we would get £25m+ for if he was sold. Also. Cuadrado isn't going to be played as a CAM, he's a winger who started as a right back and moved forward, a bit like Bale. I think you're forgetting Willian too? You're probably more likely to see a front 4 of Hazard, Willian, Griezzman and Costa!

13 May 2015 21:50:50
Which transfer is more likely Griezmann or Bale

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed018's Note - Griezmann}

14 May 2015 21:06:45
With all respect things are becoming complicated. It could be Bale after all.

Agree0 Disagree0

15 May 2015 04:40:07
Just because you want it to be Bale doesn't mean it could, Griezmann is still likely and for me the cheaper and more reasonable option.

13 May 2015 20:56:47
Pogba doesn't look particularly good tonight. Probably because he has just recovered from injury.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed018's Note - yea it's a tough match to come back to after being out}

13 May 2015 21:05:48
He is a quality player but this 60 million to sign him is a joke.

Agree1 Disagree1

13 May 2015 22:58:57
After tonight match, I really let down the idea of buying Pogba, he looks weak and usually avoid to get direct contact with tough opponents. Even though Real lost and Bale performance is not so good, I can see lots to explore from him. Speed and strength. I will goall in for Bale and Koke. Griezman has never played on the right and he doesn't have to carry defend work in Aletico. I don't think he can adapt to play on the right, as Schurle used to be.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2015 06:02:55
I think that's awfully tough. Came back from injury and played the majority of two games in his first week. In addition madrid dominates possesion in the game. He provided an assist on the goal and had many other bright sparks as well.

Agree0 Disagree0

14 May 2015 13:04:15
No, its not really tough. I just do a fair assessment on my opinions, u could see I prefer sth from an awful performance of Bale. Pogba looks shaky and provides quite of meaningless passes. Even our RLC can do like that too. His assist is kind of luck for me. he's much better but we can upgrade RLC gradually. U think we need a different approach - a Koke style.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - if you judge a player like that, it is a good job you aren't a scout! Pogba is one of the best midfielders in world football, try watching more games with him in it instead of making meaningless assessments after one bad game by his standards. Of course he looks shaky, he has had a bad injury.}

13 May 2015 20:54:51
Just a thought, but what about Cuardrado at RB next season?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed018's Note - I wouldn't rule that out. He may provide cover for that position}

13 May 2015 21:23:00
Cuadrado has a problem, he has serious lack of physical strength. He must work on that whole summer if expects to play for Chelsea next season.

Agree1 Disagree0

13 May 2015 21:37:27
Yeah he needs to hit the gym and do some dealifts asap :-P
Nothing beats those!

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - I heard Ed004 is gonna send his training routine and supplement program to Cuadrado to help put some muscle on him}

13 May 2015 21:56:47
I don't know Ed004, so is that a good thing? :-P
If it's genuinely good he can send it to me as well haha

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - ask him about it on the United page, I'm sure he will gladly fill you in on all of his secrets}

13 May 2015 22:27:26
Ed018, are you having a laugh or is he actually into fitness and working out? Because I'm kind of 'addicted' to working out, I just love it :)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - oh he's into it. Pretty much every couple of weeks he's asking questions about working out and different supplements but I'm also having a laugh because I want to see his reply. You can tell him I sent you over to talk to him}

14 May 2015 07:26:21
Hahaha I'll do that!

Does Chelsea have any interest in Charlie Austin now that QPR have been relegated? I think he would be a good fit for the team and he's home grown.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed018's Note - not right now}

13 May 2015 17:03:54
Hope we do t blue. Varane, Koke, Griezmann, Austin and of course a backup keeper Green, would set us up nicely. Obviously a couple of players might leave but it carries on our great balance and huge improvement of the squad in general and with Green and Austin Hg players.

Hi ed (ed002) just wondering, not even 100% that we are interested, but if sterling were to refuse any new contracts could he look into buying out his current "low"contract himself (assuming he has over 1 mil saved) and any signing on fee here or at any other club would cover his loss. Don't like looking for options for people who display no loyalty he never did with qpr before Liverpool but I do like being one step ahead of the almost unpredictable transfer market . And at the end of the day he is a London boy missing home in scouseland

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - I don't understand this £1M. And to be honest, I have no idea what you are talking about.}

13 May 2015 14:46:50
Being honest myself ed I'm sure a man (stab in the dark ) of your seemingly major knowledge and experience in the field of transfer dealings would be able decipher that I'm asking if he could buy out his own contract to sign for another club.

But knowing your menstrual like temperament, something posters constantly take into consideration, your probably just being difficult.

Been looking on here for 4 years helps me filter out the lazy journo bull and your head and shoulders above any reason I come on here but I've settled on the ideology that I hate to love you like most posters apart from the ones that use every opportunity they can to proverbially genuflect in your Devine cyber prescience

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - I am sorry but I simply don't understand what this £1M relates to and why you should think it would be allowable to buy the remainder of his contract at this time - if that is what you are saying. You seems to have dropped in to some bizarre fantasy world - or maybe Owsley's Blue Cheer is kicking in?}

13 May 2015 15:06:53
I think he is speaking about a rule which was mentioned on the Liverpool page, I forget its title.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - That would be the Webster Ruling. Asking sensibly rather than dribbling makes it easier for me and costs him less in shirts and keyboards.}

13 May 2015 15:19:23
I think in a roundabout way he's trying to say he doesn't like the answers you give & basically saying some posters suck up to you, it's quite simple really mate if you don't like the answers then don't ask the questions.

Agree0 Disagree0

13 May 2015 17:28:14
Exactly situation, there is no way around what goes on here or any where else in the world it's called mutual respect, any one on here can testify that Ed answers questions in unbelievable ways taking his time to assemble lists, and information all most in a professional manner and mind you he does it cause he wants to not because he has to. Do the same thing and yield great positive response.

Not directed at you Jimmyfloyd just saying, it's simple if anyone doesn't like the way it is on here then let those who do enjoy it. If for any reason anyone finds me kissing up to the Eds it's not just because I want them to keep posting but mainly cause I appreciate the work and effort they put on here no matter the Ed I would "kiss up" because I respect their hard work and their love for football in general, just like I would any regular poster on here after all we are all blue. Now for rival fans however that might be a little tricky.

Sorry for the long post and if it was a drag it's just I really want to go a summer on here without pilting anyone off not a fellow Chelsea poster and certainly not an Ed. :)

Yeah we could use a full couple of months without drama etc on this site ;-)
Great post, ELI, I couldn't have said it any better!

15 May 2015 02:00:56
Alright certainly not knocking you guys who are mindfull of the ed's mood I mean it's probably what keeps this all going in a way. And as I said I love the unlabelled work ed does just saying I'm confident ed knew what I meant with this "Webster ruling" but my not knowing or inability to know the rules name is deemed as dribbling and worthy of displaying complete onbinxiousness. Just saying man I lover this site and just asking a question that seemed logical to me that professional can buy themselves out of a contract but thanks got there in the end ill look up this webster ruling

Who are potential Striker signings? Icardi and Dybala look unlikely.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

13 May 2015 09:30:38
Lacazette has been looked at by the club as well :)

Agree1 Disagree0

13 May 2015 10:09:24
wouldn't griezmann be seen as a striker?

I couldn't see us signing a prolific striker like lacazette to sit on the bench and a goalscoring right winger. i'd prefer a player who covers both like griezmann

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - After a meeting last Saturday any move for Lacazette this summer still looks unlikely.}

13 May 2015 19:08:24
Few names are circulating Austin,Ings and Benteke. Plus still have Remy and Bamford.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed018's Note - I don't think you will see Ings at Chelsea. United or Liverpool seems more likely}

13 May 2015 19:28:52
Agree with you ed,especially Liverpool.
Just those 3 names were mentioned.
