A check on the official website would tell you. :)

Anyhow, the players who played in the Confederations Cup were given extended leave; Torres, Mata, Azpilicueta, Oscar, David Luiz, Mikel and Omeruo will all return to training soon. The rest of the first team squad (and some youngsters) are on the first pre-season tour in the far east.

Yilmaz isn't a proven striker, he's only played in the Turkish league which is extremely poor, I would much rather have Suarez who we know can actually handle the premier league.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

He can't even control himself!

Plus if we got him imagine the headlines when he's banned for the beginning of the season for biting his teammate.

No thank you, let's go for Benteke - he's a monster

Agree0 Disagree0

I have no idea why people want Suarez, a good player but since moving to the prem he has bitten someone, racially abused another and then refused to shake his hand (for god only knows what reason!) and he has also punched someone while on international duty.

He is one of the dirtiest players I have ever seen (even without mentioning the above) and his diving is embarrassing! A strong proportion of Liverpool fans want him out of the club because he causes so many problems, why would we want to go anywhere near that!

I simply cannot understand why people want him.

Agree0 Disagree0

Benteke is too similar to Lukaku, it will never happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't see Suarez an Ivanovic getting on

Agree0 Disagree0

Remember milito at inter? the jose touch worked, and will with lukaku & torres. yilmaz would be a good signing. in jose we trust.

Luiz CB next year and de Rossi next to Oscar or de bruyne will be brilliant. Can't wait. I can see it now. Oscar gets fouled and do Rossi hunts then down. Tough no nonsense disciplined DM

Van ginkel, ramires, lampard, Essien

Agree0 Disagree0

Essein will leave
Lamps rotation
Ramires will play a lot of games depending on who we play
Van ginkel will be ushered into first team football.

Agree0 Disagree0

Essien won't be leaving. Mourinho loves him. Mikel will leave though.

Agree0 Disagree0

No ones leaving. Except MAYBE Ba. Maybe.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have to agree with last post. {Ed018's Note - Mikel could very well be off}

Agree0 Disagree0

JM will be looking to have depth and cover in each position, I don't think Essien will leave.
In a 4. 2. 3. 1 formation he will be looking to have the following number of players :
back 4 - 7 to 8 players
DM - 5 players
attacking midfield - 6
strikers - 3

Agree0 Disagree0

Heard that we were going to offer Essien to RM.

I'd love ibrahimovic. At 31 he will be ready to move on for lukaku to take over and is a proven goalscorer In every league

I was either going to go Matthew Harding upper or East upper, not sure yet though.

Agree0 Disagree0

East upper is poor, go Matthew Harding

Guys what do u think of Ibrahimovic as an option? Ed002 has claimed on one of the other sites that PSG would be willing to sell. In my opinion he would be perfect for Chelsea. He has won the league at every club he has been at, he can create and assist, hold the ball up, shots with both feet, threat in the air, plus unbelievably strong.

With teams sitting deep against us and playing for the draw he would be absolutely perfect. The fact that he is 31 is perfect for me as he brings experience and Lukaku could take the role of lead striker in 2-3 years. Also a brilliant character in the dressing room (his aura reminds me of Drogba for some reason)! Only cost PSG £18m last year so would probably be about the same or cheaper. Either way would be cheaper than Yilmaz and of FAR Better Quality. Albeit with very high wages but he would be gone in 2-3 years.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree. His high wages are worth it as he delivers at every club he's been at. He's a fantastic all around striker. Technically he's amazing as well so he could very well be involved in the passing game of our 3 amigos.
I don't think there's a good chance of him coming to chelsea though, which is a shame. I'd be ecstatic with him on board.

Reading about the Ibra situation on other pages it sounds to me that if we were interested then we could get him. Real's interest has waned, City are interested but deals for either Jovetic or Negredo are more likely, Fenervache are the only other team with serious interest but c'mon they r not even in Europe - surely he would be more interested joing Chels over Fenervache!

Agree0 Disagree0

Age wise he matches up perfectly as by the time he declines Romeu is ready. Play wise he would push the centre halfs back which gives the three amigos room to work. You just have to be fearful that you won't be able to get him off your books. If the question is zlatan vs yilmaz there's no question for me.

What's everyone's opinion of the de Rossi transfer? If we sell mikel to someone for around the same fee as we will get for de Rossi I think it makes even more since. You can say he's 29 but that means a lesser fee and the fact that it will give youngsters like chalobah and van Ginkel the time to develope to where they should be without rushing them. Tactically it opens up rami to be able to play the way he wants to and have the freedom to roam the pitch. It also allows David Luiz to drop back in defense which for me I don't care where he plays as long as his position gets nailed down (barring extreme circumstances). For me I think he's the only glaring hole we have besides a striker.

I would be well pleased with either De Rossi or Xabi Alonso (apparently available).

Agree0 Disagree0

Van Ginkel is not competition for DM position. He is AM or CM. He will compete with Oscar and Lampard.
