HOLD THE FRICKING PHONE A MINUTE am I hearing on here that there's people saying they would prefer and he did better and think we should get rafa back. WHAT A JOKE! He won with us the europa league that at the time nobody cared about which we were only in because we didn't get though group stages which we were then led by rdm which again people where saying keep rdm give him a chance yet THE SPECIAL ONE loses a couple of games and in both games we dominated and should of won yet there starting to give jose stick. WHAT THE$#@!. Rdm wasnt the right man simple as he was never going to be there for the future, rafa won europa league big whoopi doo any manager we put there should of done the same we were the best team in it and on a couple of matches we scrapped through.please please the people who have given jose stick don't come on here on a years time saying how good he's been and what a manager. If rafa is so special why didn't he go real or barca or united or city never any interest because he's not a long term manager who wins things year after year jose is. I do think chelsea fans went to far with rafa but he's not what chelsea need we need time to gel as a group there's too many individuals at the minute when it clicks into place with jose at the elm will be the side to beat.

Ok Nibby, for the record I never said Rafa was a great or even special manager, I do think he's a good manager though. I didn't care about him before he came to Chelsea last season, never said he should have been given the permanent job when he was the 'interim' boss but i'm being honest in saying he(after about 3 matches and no preseason) realized what he had for a squad and got us playing some beautiful football(which the owner wants) with positive results. I really enjoyed the football during that stretch and was a bit surprised as Rafa was always a defensive minded sometimes sit back too much manager elsewhere. I don't believe(just my opinion) that we can win with Jose's preferred. style of football and this collection of players. I think Jose has had enough time since preseason to figure out his starting 11 the same he concluded fairly quickly that Moses and Lukaku were not in the plans for this season. Any other manager we would have signed, Pep included, would have been criticized by now for our worst season start in the RA era, but as it's been my experience on this site that sometimes it's not about what's best for Chelsea first but instead about the player or manager that we individually like or don't like.

As I said in the 2nd post I hope Jose get things sorted soon and I hope and pray that we have a great season as I'm sure you do too Nibby, just a difference of perception of how things look to going I guess.

Lets get something rite were all have our own opinion and that's great I was just reading down the posts and all I saw was rafa this rafa that. Bluelab I agree with some stuff like he should no his first team by now with having pre season with them but also rafa has never played attacking football untill he came to chelsea but he had nothing to lose at chelsea we all no what kind of football jose plays from chelsea the first time and inter +real what don't we all like about it now than what we loved when he was here first time. Agree there's something wrong why mata isn't playing but he may not fit into hiis plans but we've got to except it and get on with backing jose and the team.

Mour is past his peak as a manager an is reverting back to the only style he knows.prob is you don't have the personel to play that style, but he can always get rid of the young bright tallent and fill the team with over the hill experienced players.oh wait!

Fair enough Nibby, I guess what made me so disappointed was the expectations I had from Jose's own mouth from his earliest interviews since resigning. Had he said I'm going to tear down and rebuild with my style of play and players that fit my style months ago I doubt anyone would feel as confused because clearly that takes more than one season.(I thought that's what we were doing last season to then make a run this year.)

With that said I'm a Chelsea fan so if that's the direction Ra and Mou want to go in I just have to roll with it. From a business standpoint I think we should have moved Mata, Luiz along with any other player that doesn't suit Jose's style because I'm not sure their stock will be any higher than it was last window. We could have gotten about £80 mil for those 2 alone to spend on replacements. Now that I know this I have nothing more to add, I'll just wait to see how things develop.

Mourinho said today there trying to play I new way that maybe him covering his back but I believe it I think he is trying to sort defence out first the attacking will speak for itself let's not forget everton game on another day we could of had 5 or 6 and won easy basel game we didn't play that bad too late goals this stuff happens in football. I believe when the penny drops will be special untill then we need to behind them. As long as it takes where all chelsea together wanting them to be great

Just as people should be breathalised before sending text messages to girls late at night persons should be screened from posting on this forum.

After every performance some of the drivel and ridiculous stuff that gets posted with outrageous plots and theories its becoming a joke.

Support the team, support the manager, if we lose and play poorly please share your thoughts in a constructive way but saying get rid of Mourinho, Rafa is king and Hazard is sh*t its just stupid.

We have a winnable game against Fulham saturday and an exciting team. Come on Chelsea

Does this apply to people who tell others off just because they express their opinion? I am behind the manager. This does not change the fact that Jose cannot find the right time when the right team was there all along when Raffa was in charge. The fact that Mata is not featuring is plainly incomprehensible.

Saying Rafa did a better job after Mourinho has had 6 games is like I said in my opinion stupid. The Eds have confirmed Mata was injured and lacking match fitness for the first 3 matches. He like the other players will be rotated and picked in accordance to who the coaching team NOT JUST MOURINHO deems suitable.

By all means post your comments but so many people come on here make rash bold statements 2 minutes after games finish and go off on one.

We don't have a world class striker or CDM nor do we have a young hungry CB in my opinion. Posting it every week stating the obvious does nothing but become repetitive and pointless.

As Ballack was saying last night the 1st team coaching team see's these players each and every day run through drills, fitness and sharpness.
You have to trust their team selection based on current performance levels not past performances.

Chill out, its a long season, be proud to be a Chelsea supporter and all I ask is think before you post, to everyone not just you BarryB :)

Not really pb. Sorry but with certain players not playing great football, where is the oppertunities for the other players we have. Cole should have been dropped by now. Don't get me wrong Ivan is solid in defence but going forward its a ball ache.

I will have to agree with a couple of other posts. I think Raffa did a better job

People quickly forgetting Home loss to qpr, and reading and Southampton coming back from 2-0 to draw.

Jose should realize the importance of starting Mata in our team.
The early he realizes the early we can kick-start our season in full flow.

Ideal line-up vs Fulham

Cech
Brana Terry Cahill Cole
Ramires Mikel(if he's fit)
Willian/Schurrle Mata Hazard
Eto

Eto is looking sharp and bright compared to other two strikers.

Terry-Cahill partnership looks more stable and reliable bcoz they worked well in our first two league games.

I think Jose should give luiz a chance playin as DM.which is highly unlikely

Slightly worried abt Cole's form but he's one of the best in the world in that position. so he'll come back!

keep calm and support chelsea
up the blues!

Don't u think Essien should play in Mikel's place for us to see if he would be up to the task

I think Azplicueta should be back at RB place. I thin Brana needs a rest. Also think Oscar, Mata & KDG should start

On a positive note, the youth team won comfortably against Basel. Maybe Jose should give a couple of them a try, because they're more likely to play as a unit and work hard.
Being realistic right now, I think Jose should bench Hazard against Fulham. He has not looked good these past 2 games. Always looking to dribble past 3 players (a long way out from goal as well), he has not been dangerous and influential enough. Perhaps he should be tried in the hole behind the striker once in a while. I'm sure he'd be instantly better than currently on the left cutting in.
So I'd let him rest against Fulham. He's played all of our games so far and it might do him some good (could be great as an impact sub). For Fulham, I'd go with KDB, Mata and Willian or Schurrle in the band of three. KDB could be massive as he's always looking to score or get an assist. Everything he does is in order to score a goal, he just doesn't want to simply pass it back, he wants to attack. His long range shooting and set pieces can come in handy as well. We need to use him more.

Can't understand why anyone should expect our team to play like a finely tuned unit when the same lineup hasn't hit the field in back to back matches. When can this timing and cohesion be built? We don't have a starting 11 and word is that who looks good on the training pitch gets the nod but no word of if there is a set 11on the training pitch.

We are a working progress. You can't expect a new manager, even Jose, to rock up and win every match 4-0. To be fair we could and should have been out of sight against Everton at the weekend. We still don't know our best team, willian looked good ande to showed touches however I would stick with Torres especially in Europe . Be patient guys and things will work.

When JM first arrived at the club the team developed it's 'spine' as the media love to label it. Cech, Terry, Lampard and Drogba. Add to this the players around them that played nearly every game, Carvalho, Makelele, Gallas and Gudjohnsen. Settled defence, settled central midfield pair and a first class striker, playing together week in, week out. For this current team to move forward we need a solid base of players that will turn out each week and develop the required understanding of the system and each of other's game in this new system to become a top team. Last night it was akin to watching 11 guys play who had met each other only 2 hours before kick-off. For me personally, from what I have seen this season so far, I think Cech, Cahill, Terry, Brana, Rami, Mata (maybe not so much on this season, but more the fact he is the best player at the club) and Oscar need to be starting nearly every game, and certainly the big games. That's not to say I think everyone apart from that is poor (I would love to have seen Ceasar and KDB more this season). More the fact, these are the players that seemed to have at least a good understanding of each other and the system itself. The club will never settle into a solid rhythm while the team is being changed around so much.

Right now I really miss Rafa, he got us organized defensively, got the best out of Luiz our mazacar trio and we only lacked a striker for Epl matches and I'm positive Rafa would not have sent Lukaku out on loan. With our current squad Rafa imo would have been unbeaten in all comps at this point in the season. He had the guts to sit a lamps or terry in matches such as United last season and the players seem to like playing for him. This is my petition to buy him back from Napoli because what he said at Liverpool is not worse imo than what Eto said about Chelsea and we now embrace Eto. The only way Jose is successful this season at Chelsea is to follow Rafa's pattern with these players.

Don't miss him at all! You have to believe in our squad and our manager! I will be supporting Chelsea even if we were a championship team! Bad days came but there is a light in the tunnel! and I believe the best is still to come

Well I certainly hope the best is yet to come with the way we're playing atm. I think some people are getting a little to emotional. I get it looks bad but honestly we shouldn't be loosing to basel not at the bridge, switzerland, or at my backyard with the talent we have. TSO is looking confused he seems to be favouring a few players not going to call names, Lampard. Look we can do better I know we can cause we have the best manager and probably the best young players in the world, jose just needs to get over himself and realise we need to play football to the strength of our team and not play on the counter everytime. Oh and also Hazard is just 22 give the dude a break and bench his sorry arse till he remembers his talent can only take him thus far and work hard to be a world beater hr's destined to be. Peace fellas.

Don't understand how people can say "you have to believe in our manager" but gave Rafa so much grief. Imagine turning up to your work place and everyone turning around and booing you and hoping you were fired even though you were key to the success of the firm. That's effectively what large sections of our fans were doing.

Look lads, I posted the above because I thought we(Chelsea fans in general) went a bit too far with the Rafa abuse last season and felt most on here, although it's still very early, were almost creating excuses and skating our players for what were some early signs of Jose's missteps. I honestly see two primary issues that I hope Jose comes to realize soon and hope(for old times sake like most fans) that he's the man to fix it.
1. You cannot fit a square peg in a round hole. Jose, like all top managers have a system/style they believe is the way that football should be played but I believe the great/special ones implements a system to get the most out of the players you have and again imo we do not have a sit back and defend team of a purely counter attacking team. We need to attack and posses the ball(which is a form of defence). We were leaking goals and results last year when Rafa took over and naturally the new man thought, with our attacking mids tallent, let's sit back. It took Rafa 3 matches of scoreless football to come to the same realization. Striker or not we have the tallent and depth to easily be better than the form we finished in last year which imo is good enough to compete for trophies but is the "new" Jose humble enough to correct his thinking and try a different path. I know his way has achieved success, but not with these players.

2. If it's not broken, don't try to fix it. I think Pep is learning that also at Beyern. Besides inform finishing, our attacking tallent was good enough last season to give any team on the planet problems and it still is. Leave our midfield trio alone and if you want to make them better just adjust the pieces around them. D Luiz is a great player, I've seen him sit back for us(and hardly crosses in the attacking half) as well as his National team. I believe his runs are based on being allowed/asked to go frwd and if told not to he won't. Why are we blaming him for frwd runs when we know managers control freedoms on the pitch.
