Watching motd lukaku looks like a different player well sharpe and unlucky he didn't score 3/4!

Wheelycfc

Believable7 Unbelievable2

I agree. Next season, I would like to see him either back at the Bridge alongside Ba and another striker or on-loan again at a team like Everton/WBA, somewhere where he will play, score goals and get lots of game time. I think he could be one of the best strikers in the world with his potential if he fufils it. The prospect of Hazard, Mata, Lukaku, Oscar, Luiz, Azpilicueta, Moses, Bertrand (as a LB), Piazon, Wallace, Feruz, Boga, Blackman, Courtois, Kalas, McEachran, Chalobah, Musonda (s), T. Hazard, De Bruyne and Ake (along with the possibility of maybe Isco/Willian and a another striker) in the future is a bright one indeed.
CFCFOREVER!

Agree5 Disagree1

Agree with most, except for Bertrand. He's been our worst player (Torres apart) this season.

Is there a problem between rafa and Oscar? Strange why Oscar hardly playing under rafa and I remember same sort of thing with rafa and yossi, hope there no problem just wondering

Rafa said the game might be to physical for Oscar

i think am right in saying that was lakaku 9th and 10th goal this season! wot you guys think of him! me i think the bloke will be class but he seems to me to be a bad egg like refusing to go on the open top bus parade stating he didn't feel part of the team! i just can't see him sitting on the bench with out complaining and unsettling the teamkevinCFC

Believable2 Unbelievable6

He sat on the bench for west brom at the start of the season. He said that he felt he was mistreated by avb so mAybe that's why.

Agree3 Disagree0

He didn't refuse? I was there and saw him. He was upset because he wanted to help more and felt he had cheated a medal. Which is why he wanted a loan, to show what he could do. And what about your promise after Villa's "Transfer"? I won't post again if it doesn't happen? Please just follow that rule Pinky/KevinCFC, just go annoy the Spuds fans if you really feel the need to.

I would like cech to stop hoofing it upfield when he receives a pass back from the halfway line, might as well just have a shot instead

Believable4 Unbelievable2

Like I said in a earlier post.
Some people are clueless.

Absolutely, something I noticed was Turnbull prefers to pass it from the back, which was refreshing to see. David Luiz has to stop it too.

Believable4 Unbelievable2

12 Jan 2013 18:23:12
So when we lose Rafa gets bashed for his teams selection, i haven't seen the game but it was 4 - 0, we scored 4 goals and conceded nothing. One of the hardest places to go and score let alone win. We gonna have some praise for Rafa or is it just a one way street?

PB

Believable12 Unbelievable1

Some games we win by loads of goals some we lose like swansea and qpr at home, not acceptable, let madrid havd him

Agree7 Disagree5

Two own goal a pen that shouldn't of been and a thunder boot from hazard,, lampard was immense and rafa played Bertrand who offered nothing today,, stoke didn't ever look like scoring

Agree6 Disagree3

Yeah Lampard was immense giving the ball away. Ba gave him 2 sitters and he fudged them, if that was Torres we'd by hanging him by now. He takes good panalties and he is a poacher but offers little in defence and build up play.

Agree8 Disagree6

In the first own goal its wudve been a goal any way, becouse without walker intervention a chelsea player was free to score.

Agree2 Disagree1

Sorry but rafa is just not wanted.

Ww

Agree3 Disagree7

3 points is 3 points to me atm. azpillicueta played well today. his crossing is getting alot better. lamps was good but he did slow down our play alot. luiz won alot of balls today. rafas management made me feel sick. oscar & marin need minutes. instead he brings on a centre back & ferreira. BLUEBOY1

Agree7 Disagree0

It is all about consistency. Without that you win nothing! So yes we won at Goodison and Britannia and we lose at the Brodge. Until this gets sorted no praises. Proitos.

Agree2 Disagree0

Whilst i agree that oscar and marin need minutes, Terry is back to fitness and needs game time and azpilicueta has played pretty much every game and so needs a rest once in a while.

Agree2 Disagree0

all these modric rumors are annoying me because:

1:we've got mata, oscar playing his position and de bruyne and piazon on the rise

2:If we needed another player in that position we would've gone for wesley sneijder who's on a free and not spend 40m on a player

3:Modric only joined madrid in the summer and is just settling in now, the earliest he will go is in the summer.

4:Every transfer window we are "linked with him" according to the media and if we really were linked with him after the deal 2 years ago fell through don't you maybe think either of the respective clubs would've spoken publicly about the situation?

Believable5 Unbelievable7

1) he doesn't play the same position as Mata and Oscar.

2) we are crying out for someone who can thread balls through to the more attacking players from a deeper position.

3) he certainly wouldn't cost us £40m if he were for sale as they only bought him for around £30m, so I would except his price to be around £22.5m - which is a great deal for a player of his calibre in my opinion.

However there is no confirmation that Madrid want to sell anyway, but if he was available I think he would be a perfect fit.

MB

Agree8 Disagree6

Mb is right but we have 2 very exceptional passers of the ball in our ranks. de bruyne & mceachran. blueboy1

If united lose tomorrow and we win our game in hand we are only 5 points off.Guys we are still in this title race!If we can just get 1 more market signing in this transfer window! Maybe a paulinho or a striker like negredo that will just give the team that extra drive.Because lets be honest falcao won't join this transfer window {Ed018's Note - do the math again}

Believable7 Unbelievable2

12 Jan 2013 15:40:41
Sorry guys but we are playing with 10 men, Bertrand offers nothing in attack.

A11

Believable9 Unbelievable3

Mate you can't just go all out attack in every game, with Ba, hazard, mata, Lampard & Ramires all get forward that should be plenty good enough.
Stokes best player this season has been Jon Walters, playing from stokes right hand side, Bertrand playing helps to keep him quiet and after the first half he's done a decent job.
Hazard rami Lampard the standout players in first half.

Agree4 Disagree4

No but you must do all you can to win a game IMO people will always disagree.

A11

Agree2 Disagree1

Yeah but Bertrand was awful in the 1st half especially in defence. If some felt Oscar was bad against Swansea not sure what more to say about Bertrand's 1st half.

Agree4 Disagree2

No mate johnnie walters is our 11th

Agree4 Disagree0

Some people are clueless, Bertrand was far from awful throughout the game.
Playing out of posistion vs a team who haven't lost at home all season and keeping a clean sheet.
Some people just have to find summit to moan about.

blaming benitez for swansea is unfair because it was down to missing sitters and ivans mistakes.

however, the result we get at stoke (which i doubt will be good at all) is definitely on him, what is he playing at putting luiz in defence and dropping cahill and putting bertrand on the wing, with no width in the team stoke will crowd us. 0-0 unless david does something stupid in which case 1-0 stoke

Bertrand starting left wing, ruins the balance of the team but I hope it works out today.

A11

Believable1 Unbelievable1

Saw demba BA starting and was pleased then Bertrand starting on the wing and seemed pointless.. Torres has full support at his disposal and BA will have Bertrand supporting him. Good player who I like but not a midfielder {Ed018's Note - Must be hoping for a draw today}

Agree1 Disagree0

Good old rafa, ed018 seems to me with Moses gone that rafa has tried Oscar and now Bertrand and Marin but are we looking for a proper winger, ? Think BA will really be difference today

Agree0 Disagree0

My worry is if it isn't going our way will Rafa take off Bertrand? If he does it will be like the 80th minute, even then probably will be Torres for Ba not Bertrand.

A11

Agree0 Disagree0

60mins and Rafa will move Luiz to midfield and take off Ramires, to give JT game time.

I know it's a bit of a dodgy question and you couldn't put an exact figure on it at all, but of the players we are realistically linked with, what percentage would you say actually sign? A rough guesstimate based on your own knowledge really

Devon. {Ed002's Note - What do you mean by "linked with"? Every player mentioned on Twitter or Facebook?}

Believable1 Unbelievable0

Not twitter or , that would be just stupid, it would defeat the purpose of my question, I used the word realistically so that twitter and weren't accounted. I'll rephrase the question, of those Chelsea show a genuine/passing interest in, what rough percentage actually sign?

Devon. {Ed002's Note - I have no idea, sorry.}

Todays game against Stoke, although in recent years it probably doesn't register alongside games against Barcelona and Bayern Munich, is reasonably important. Some might call it a 'must win'! Here is how I think the team should be set out...

4-1-2-2-1

Turnbull

I'm so tempted to put Blackman here as Turnbull leaves me with absolutely no confidence what-so-ever, but realistically Turnbull will start.

Azpiliqueta Ivanovic Cahill Cole

Ivanovic made two shocking mistakes against Swansea but everyone has an off day, for me he is the type of character who'll have a big game after making those mistakes in the last one. Terry on the bench, looking forward to him coming back into the side.

David Luiz

Love watching this fella play in midfield, a leader in the middle of the park - future club captain for me.

Ramires Lampard

Rafa has already indicated that he feels Stoke could be too physical for Oscar, Ramires and Lampard much better suited to this game and will sit deeper than our midfield would play in our normal 4-2-3-1 formation.

Mata Hazard

Switching wings, coming into the middle - both players with the freedom to move around and cause the opposition as many problems as possible. Would love to see Hazard put more balls into the box rather than cut inside; especially with Ba on the pitch.

Ba

Did I hear Rafa right? Have we bought a player who, physically, can only manage one game a week? That's probably why he left it so late to bring him on against Swansea! Nevertheless he must start against Stoke - if you we're Shawcross or Huth I know who you'd rather play against out of Ba and Torres! Really need another striker!

Hi Chelski fans, see you're bored of Torres? Well I'm a liverpool fan and I've been speaking to a lot of Liverpool fans....

We would love it if you sent El Niño back to us! He had a special bond with our fans and could be quality again, he is just not suited to your club and fans.

Send him back to us on a cut price deal, have a word with roman or Rafa.

Cheers

Believable1 Unbelievable3

Cheapskate Scousers, the cheek never fails to amaze me, we'll send him packing maybe to Spain or Italy. Scott M.

Liverpool fan here. Please keep Torres. Thank you

Agree2 Disagree0

Personally 10 m and he's yours.

Agree1 Disagree1

Liverpool fan here, not to wind people up or cause issues. I was just wondering if the rumors mentioned in the press that Torres has been saying he wishes he was back at Anfield was true? For me i hate the way he did leave us to join you but in our current situation we have a lack of funds and i would take Torres back for 15 million. Ohh and well play on the BA transfer, cracking deal at 7 million.

Baz {Ed002's Note - I really don't know what Torres has told others.}

Agree0 Disagree1

12 Jan 2013 00:51:50
Is anyone else fed up with the amount of abuse Torres gets after every game? He's not been performing for 2 years as has been stated numerous times on this site. So I don't get why after every game where he doesn't score, we get 4/5/6 different posts calling him rubbish and demanding he leaves the club. He's not leaving until at least the summer, so I for one will get behind him and support him no matter how rubbish he is, because no amount of moaning is going to change the situation. Yes Torres had an awful game against Swansea, everyone has their off days (he's being having an off day for 2 years blah blah blah) . But it was up to Benitez to recognise that the system wasn't working and he should of changed it. We cannot always blame Torres no matter how rubbish he plays. We were woeful in front of goal and wasted a few opportunities and Ivanovic made 2 stupid mistakes that cost us the game. Had we cut out the mistakes and Mata had finished one of the opportunities we probably wouldn't be criticizing Torres.
Rant over.

Believable2 Unbelievable6

If wed have won the game because mata had finished chances and ivan hadnt made mistakes all that would have done was paper over the cracks. torres has almost never had a good game for us, when things are going well we ignore this but when they go badly we all see just how little he offers. there is no movement, no working, no first touch, its not good enough for our team.

Agree1 Disagree0

Think people are fed up after 2 years. BLUEBOY1

Agree2 Disagree0

I believe our failings in the league in the last two years have come due to one player - Fernando Torres. I lost faith with him a year ago in that match against Norwich where he missed one of his infamous sitters. Maybe he was suffering from chronic stomach cramps.

Boy how rubbish is he though?? Demba is a breath of fresh air. I'm positive if we had another half decent striker we would be competing with the Manchester clubs. I hope we sign another striker as that would ensure he rots away

Shak

Believable5 Unbelievable3

I do aswell. No doubt. he's a sulky baby, if he plays today and plays terrible, what's gunna be rafas excuse?
