Ratings for me:
Courtois; Sloppy for the penalty, but no chance with second goal. 6
Ivanovic; Okay, but struggles against pace still. 6
Terry: Solid, played well and nullified Llorente. 7
Cahill: Decent performance, nonsense foul on him tarnished it. 6
Azpilicueta: Got beat far too easily, looked lethargic. 5
Kante: Did what Kante does. 7
Matic: Not creative enough in these games. Needs to do more. 5
Oscar: Battled well and unlucky not to score. 6
Hazard: Bright in patches but wasted chance to kill game. 6
Willian: Some decent moments but would rather see Moses get a start. 6
Costa: Brilliant, bullied the defence all game, should of seen Amat (possibly even Fernandez) sent off, brilliant brace of finishes but should of had a hat trick. 9
Subs:
Cesc: Bright but dispossessed far too easily at times. 6
Moses: Didn't really get into the game, but was direct. 5
Batshuayi: Nowhere near enough time to make an impact. Deserved longer on the pitch. N/ A.

You give Cahill 6 and Azpi 5. Azpi nullified any threat down the right when it came.

Personally thought Dave had a poor game, gave the ball away too much. Will let him off though. I gave Cahill that cause save a refereeing mistake, he and Terry played very well and we never looked like conceding.

Did we watch the same match? Oscar and Hazard same rating? Oscar played very well I thought, he was all over the pitch! Also was unlucky not to score and his assist for the first goal was wonderful.

Thought defence did OK, but ivanovic plays so narrow allowing them to spray it wide. I think put Dave rb and alonso lb. I thought matic was ok first half but seemed knackered with 30 mins to go. Kante was outstanding. Oscar worked hard, Willian for me seems to have lost his edge. Thought when fabregas came on looked real threat. Also could not believe hazard first half played well, but second half for about 30 minutes seemed to return to the hazard of last season, lack of effort and interest.
Only concern for me was a thought conte should have made subs 20 mins earlier and batshuyi should have had a decent run at it.

Dire. Apart from looking fitter than this time last season I have not noticed a vast improvement. Ground out wins and a draw against sub-standard opposition not good enough if we are going to challenge this season. At times I thought Conte looked bemused. Our defence are like cart horses and up front no creativity whatsoever and although he has his supporters and scored our goals, if Costa keeps this up he will be spending a lot of time suspended. Regardless of the penalty, Courtois to me is not the goalkeeper we were led to believe he was.

Mate, you are honestly the most negative bloke on this site. ha ha. cheer up a bit, 10 points from 12 and Conte has only just come in. Rome wasn't built in a Day and this is a vastly improved Chelsea from last Season.

We should have won today if it wasnt a mistake by referee for not awarding a free kick for fouling cahill.

Anyway I believe that coach was a bit late with his changes and for sure matic and oscar should sit on the bench next game.

We let in two bad goals, stitched by the ref. But I still don't see the Matic kante midfield working. Fabregas needs the chance. Conte has got this wrong.

What's our realistic aim for the season. After last year I would be quite happy to qualify for next seasons champions league, nothing else.

Tbh I'd be happy with top3. Last season was a blip, and we've improved our squad so we should really be challenging tbf. Overall though a comfortable CL qualification will do. Certainly don't want it to be down to the last game to see if we get 4th.

I agree Fuser, this year qualify for Europe. Strengthened our squad just. Kante looks useful but we need to sort out who plays alongside him as it is not working so far and spending £30m on a forward that gets 5 or 10 minutes is not good enough. I am still doubtful if our buys were Conte driven.

Personally I feel their is no link between midfield and attackers. Always a simple pass left or back or right. Hazard and costs are trying to make runs, yet no balls even attempted to play them through. Seriously cesc needs to start. Azpilicueta right back alonso left. Need zouma fit.

I think once our backline has been reshuffled and become settled again we'll see a more adventurous/ attacking team. The only current difference between our starting 11from last year is Kante, and as we saw yesterday even he can't cover for all the mistakes our back line makes.
