Honestly, I'll rathar have Neymar for £50m pounds than Falcao. Neymar is d future, 6-7yrs younger, can play alongside Mata, Hazard, Oscar without displacing Torres. He scores as well as creates - a further advantage to Torres. Hope he comes, and soon too.
Bas!cs.
'Without displacing Torres' and no explanation where would he play? Our manager likes the 4-2-3-1, are u suggesting he change it or sit someone?

At all times, must we play we two defensive midfielders? Can't u vary formations and tactics?
U should ask Robbie.
Cech
Azpilicueta Cahill luiz cole. Ramires Oscar
Hazard mata Neymar
Torres
Good team on paper but on real life that team is to light weight, they would be bulldozed over by teams like stoke Everton etc
What like we always bulldoze barca

I think people need to stop pointing to Fellaini as a choice for def mid. Playing in that position last season he looked clumsy and gave away too many silly free kicks. Its only playing in the more advanced role that he has really dominated matches.

nice article here from the vital chelsea page, NOT WRITEN BY ME.
I really think we need to think out of the box here!
Off late I've been observing a trend here on Vital Chelsea. We were all really supportive of Torres all through last season and the beginning of this season until one match. When this striker scored a hat trick against us we started behaving like the small kids of a Russian billionaire and start begging for the newest toy on the shop window. Make no mistake I think Radamel Falcao is just awesome but -
1. Bringing him in will mean selling Torres as I can`t see them co-existing.
2. Can`t be a player exchange deal as Ahletico need the money.
3. 60 million lost on a player the same age approximately as our player.
4. If he does not do well, we won`t have Torres.
5. Makes no sense financially to lose a top player plus so much money.
6. We'll get only 4 years out of Falcao at the top level and that's assuming he continues the same form.
Secondly, I now speak about Torres. He's scored 4 in 7 games, which is not bad for a striker. I hope some of the tactical geniuses on Vital Chelsea will also open their eyes. Torres is actually very much a part of our fluid dynamics in the team. The three musketeers behind him need his movement to pull away defenders. Need his link up play. Need his pressing as they press in packs along with Ramires and the full backs (just as everyone's dream team Barca do).
We are actually playing Pep Guardiola styled improved version football that combines possession and pressing with solid defending and counter attacking football. We are finally developing a 'Chelsea style of football' finally. Watch our season so far game by game and you'll see where I'm driving. Stop looking at the chances he missed and look at the evolution of the team and Torres's component in it.
Please stop being so myopic. Don`t let the English media influence you that Falcao is the answer. I'm tempted too, but we need to mature as a club and as fans. Now let's look at the future of our squad.
Torres is our present and possibly our immediate future. But our future nucleus is fantastic -
1. Lukaku - will be our Drogba replacement.
2. Sturridge - direct dribbling goal scorer.
So what do we need now? Not a Falcao! We need someone young. Our midfield will even overshadow Barca's dream team in a few years, Mata is so young and can definitely go on to be better than Xavi. Oscar is just 21, you've got to be having a laugh if you think he won`t reach Iniesta or Kaka's heights. Hazard could be as good as CR7 or Zidane or at least Robben good. Romeu will be better than Busquets. I'm not comparing our team with Barca because I like them, just referencing them because people think they are the best footballers.
Why do I say we are better. Because honestly without Messi Barca would finish 3rd or 4th and be the Arsenal of La Liga. Even now I can bet if Messi had a season ending injury Real Madrid will win La Liga laughing their way to the trophy. Our team does not depend on the striker to score goals. We have a midfield that makes its chances, scores its goals. I say we now need a false 9 who can play along side and even instead of Torres thereby not losing him as a player by making a dumb same aged, same position, same money value, big loss transfer with no resale value.
After Torres we'll still have the big guy centre forward in Lukaku and the quick dribbler and shooting machine in Danny and our own false 9. Now just imagine that false 9 was 19-20yrs old. Just imagine it's an open secret that he could one day be the greatest ever. A player who struck fear like Messi does.
What if that player was Neymar?
Please don`t groan or think this is one of those Neymar crazy things. I'm not his fan. I'm seeing the acquisition of Neymar as a natural progression in our evolution to be the best team in the world. It's a tactical decision. My logic is undeniable as most of us have decided to blow 60million on Falcao anyway.
Why not blow 45-50 on Neymar and keep Torres. Please don`t compare him with Robinho. I see nothing in common but the hype. Neymar is light years better. Don`t say Falcao is a proven goal-scorer in Europe and Neymar is untested. Torres was a legend in the Premier League before his lean patch. These kind of stereotypes don`t work. The kid is 20, has resale value, could end up being the best ever backed by our already destined for greatness midfield and he could develop alongside Hazard, Mata, Rami, Moses, Marin, Josh and Piazon. Two years of these guys together and they'll be telepathic.
Don`t say we won`t get him. His only logical choice is to sign for Chelsea. Messi will never leave Barca. Ronaldo will never be sold by Madrid anytime soon no matter what the media tells you. He'll never get to be the best in those two clubs as he'll have 2 demi-gods above him. The Milanese clubs are reeling. Juve can`t afford him. PSG and the Russian clubs can but it's not in the limelight. City can but it's our squad, the City of London, the Brazilian boys that will be where he'll want to come when the decision is made. He could come this January if the bid is right. He too realizes the need to play for a big European club before the 2014 World Cup to improve.
I really feel he could be the final piece of the jigsaw for the team that will rule the world for the next decade. Not that we don`t need to reinforce the pivot with a Fellaini or someone. But I feel Neymar is the tip of the diamond.

With you on that one mate. Living in Portugal, I watched Hulk and Falcao ruin everybody. Falcao is a goal scoring machine. However for the money being asked I wouldnt want him. I have said all along Torres will come good and he is starting to not only score goals, but like you said his movement is helping others get goals and assits. I still think he will be top goal scorer at the end of the season. If we have Falcao and he didnt score in 5 or 6 games, some fans would be screaming for aguero or whoever. No pleasing sone people.
Neymar would fit in just right in our side ( somewhere, but who do you leave out?)
Luke
Think u missed the point Luke from ur final question, re-read the post. He suggests playing Neymar as a false 9 to rotate with Torres as striker. I like the idea alot, because of the way Neymar plays. True we would have to completely cut out longballs and lose a little on hold-up play and set pieces because of his size, however we would gain from his cat quickness and superior dribbling ability and he seems to have an endless supply of energy- he presses on defense better than Torres. We would also lead the world in penalty kicks.
Neymar is gonna be alot more money than what you said but apart from that. I really think he would fit perfect into our squad but not with torres in it, i would replace him with Neymar playing 4-2-4 and with Neymar a little ahead of eveyone else. but stop counting Torres in the squard constantly please osca-haza-mata is far better running around confusing the defense than he is. with Neymar we would indeed be insane but how ever i think he made up his mind maybe only Oscar could change it so he came to Chelsea. About Barcelona yes Messi would always play before him and Neymar is barce's hope to have a "new" Messi when he retires. i really do hope Neymar comes even tho i do not like the guy, but also i think its gonna cost much much more than Falcao

I must admit I'm falcao a biggest fan and u was saying about him when he and hulk were on fire for Porto but I'd rather we spent less money an got a lewondoski or remy in or for price we will get falcao get them both in, and romeu has to start playing as he is brilliant player, like to see romeu Ramires then hazard Oscar mata and Torres against spurs

Oscar+Hazard+Mata=Ohm
The Ohm is the unit of electrical resistance.
It is represented by the Omega symbol.
Sounds about right.
