Will he want to play wing back though, I read somewhere, might have been on here maybe that he would like to play further up the pitch? Am I wrong in saying that? I quite like him but Cancelo seems to have a bit more to him, I've watched Valencia play a good few times last season and he's fairly tricky. Not convinced defensively but I'm sure conte could improve him and as a wing back it's more about getting back behind the ball and putting pressure than actual hard core see him out defending. Hmmmm tricky one here.

I know he's not the easiest to like but Vardy is an absolute livewire. He'd bang goals in at a top club his work rate is sensational.

He's better than average but wouldn't be as good in a big club as teams sit deep against the big teams so he wouldn't have much opportunity to use his biggest asset. his speed.

He runs fast and can finish decently. Nothing more than that. He sure as hell wouldn't work in Conte's system as a striker.

Sandro can do one as far as I'm concerned, would much rather Ryan Bertrand, Cancelo, Danny Drinkwater and Sanches for me would win us the league again. All hardworking, versatile and hungry for trophies and riches all of which we can provide. Test Arsenal with a 60mil bid, well worth it, City won't go back in for him and risk losing Aguero. Give Leicester 20-25 mil and Drinkwater will sign. Bertrand will want to come back and Cancelo as Ed said is seemingly likely. Can't understand the negativity on this page though. I'm perfectly happy with the business model the club have and would still trust the squad as is to get top 4 at least and quarters of CL. Yes I'd have hoped we pushed on a little more than is evident atm and would of never loaned Tammy, sold Ake or loaned Zouma out but Conte obviously wanted more experiece in the squad that's not looking likely anyway with the signings touted. I'd be happy seeing Musonda get game time as I've always rated him tbf I still think he's going to be world class, he seems to have a good attitude and that top player arrogance when he plays, just needs to improve to match his ambitions. What do you lot think.

More or less I agree with. I can't see Sanchez coming to Chelsea (they won't sell to us) . Left winger midfielder is a must so either Sandro or Bertrand. Right winger midfielder is not obligatory IMO. But central midfielder is a must.

Oxlaide - yes please.
Cancelo- yes please, upgrade on Moses.
Drink water - yes please too. Won't need bedding in like Bakayoko.

Why do you want us to get to the quarters of the champions league. I know it's a realistic position especially if we sign te players to mentioned by surel you'd like us to make better signings in order o challenge for the cl?! Sandro is way better than Bertrand. You said Drinkwater will help us win the league? Really? I know we're not linked to him but I'm using him as an example - you said you'd like drinkwater to help get to the quarters . I'd much rather go for much better players like Isco and challenge for the cup- just my opinion I know to hard to understand, didn't really know how to word it sorry.

We are off on "foreign name syndrome" again. Why spend £25m on a 21 year old Cancelo when we have players equally as good if not better or loaned out? This smacks of a loan more than a first team player or a waste of money.

Pedro injured, Moses banned, rudiger to start and morata not quite ready but doing well understanding role he has and what conte wants from him. Can either see 2 up front or boga/ mushonda getting debut.

Musonda won't start I think. He'd rather start Morata on the wing than play Musonda in a PL game from the off. Hopefully Pedro's injury isn't too bad though. Our squad is thin as all hell, we can't afford many injuries. Our bench will be youth central :-P.

Morata on the wing is heartbreaking. The more games he goes without scoring the pressure grows and confidence gets lower, rather morata was down middle and michy wide as quicker, it' sums this window up. Pedro injured hazard injured bakyoko injured and squad thin. unlucky with the injured already lol.

The defending Premiership Champions struggling to get a meaningful team out for the first fixture is a disgrace in anyone's book. Morata not quite ready, Bayakoko injured and where will Rudiger start if he does, not the best transfer window.

Players being injured is not the clubs fault, these things happen.
Bakayoko was a must sign even with his injury.
Morata will come on for the last 30mins and score. We will win.
Availability and price are two things out of the clubs county. Let's try and remain positive!

Am sorry but what a farce this transfer window has been! Talk about winning the league and going 100 steps back.
1 to 11 yes we look good but 14 first team players I heard that's something a cash strapped league 2 side would have going into a new season! 4 major comps this season and we hanged conte out to dry.
As it stands no way we getting top 4 we 5/ 6 players short and I don't see us adding that amount cos teams know we desperate and will increase the players value and we won't pay!

Well done Chelsea fc absolutely well bloody done.

The club has worked and will continue to work its socks off to sign quality players.
Every fan is entitled to a view but KP yours are ridiculous and wrong.

All over every bit of media is how conte is fed up and will be gone by Christmas or end of season, I honestly believe this could be another Jose season. Players know how thin squad is manager knows fans knows and league starts tomorrow and we have 2 CM's, embarrassing,

Judge when the window closes, the market has gone crazy and teams are looking for as much money as possible for their players. It's why a lot of teams have struggled with doing business. We've lost players only cause they've wanted out (Matic, Costa, Ake and Chalobah) and it's not easy finding suitable replacements without spending a ridiculous amount. We'll sign a few more players before the window ends no doubt, whether we make improvements to our starting eleven is questionable though and we'll have to wait and see. We definitely have the money to do so, but i don't see the board spending a lot just for the sake of it.

The concern is we haven't got the players in early enough and conte really doesn't seem happy, I think we will sign 2 3 or possibly 4 by window closes but I'm worried conte is ready to up and leave. Even his new contract wasn't an extension just a pay rise.

Conte will not be leaving. He continues to talk about the "Chelsea project" and I'm sure he will be at the bridge at the end of the season when we are picking up the trophies.
I am dissapointed in the sales of Chalaboa and Ake but as I've said before, we are a club that will try and persuade good players to stay but if they are determined to go, we let them go!
Come on Lads trust Roman, trust Conte, we are the CHAMPIONS!

He said himself he needs to be more patient. I understand his digs at the board but it isn't going to help him and all it's doing is making our fan base more toxic. He isn't going to get all of his targets in one window, like he said it's a project, it'll take time to build his team and as long as the club backs him he'll get it. Bakayoko and Morata were his targets and we've got them. Van Dijk and Sandro are his targets and we've been trying but they aren't exactly easy to get. It's not like his targets have been ignored, the market has changed, unless the player forces it, it'll take a long time to get things done.

Well, unlike Conte, Mourinho. had full squad. They've not sold players to Mourinho as they did to Conte. If board doesn't sign at least 4 players by 1 September Conte might walk away.
TBH I'm very unhappy with that possibility.

We all know that players can be difficult and cause problems with their attidtude and desire for attention but sometimes it's best to keep peace in the dressing room rather then having animosity towards one another!

We just suffered a horrible year two years ago with MOU and his antics and yes we all know Costa is difficult but why would Conte throw away such a talented loved man in the dressing room for pride!

Maybe Conte should change his mind and bring Costa back because as far as I see no Costa may not only cost us the league but top 4 unless Morata scores 20 plus and no injuries! Sometimes pride comes by being unselfish and Conte looks tied with our new signings and everyone shipped off or sold so better to be Humble then A Hater as the team needs unity and shod we lose or tie anyone outside the top 5/ 6 teams the dressing room will start to crack! Would be nice to see Conte come to terms with Costa and I feel that's why he hasn't gotten all his men! Contes darn Text message didn't go well with anyone including possible transfer lads who may have felt they didn't want to fall victim to his ignorance and ways of chasing players away!

Costa nearly cost us the title last year with his demand to go to China. He's a disruptive influence in the changing room, so why should it be Conte that needs to change? He managed to get and keep the rest of the squad on his side throughout the season. Only have spats with Costa. Think Diego has made his choice and no matter how good he is, he has to go.

I couldn't agree more Adam.

There is no doubt that Costa is one of the best out there, however, Conte should not make amends with somebody who has been looking to leave for a few years now. He has no desire to stay. Ticking time bomb and could implode like he did in January which could have cost us BUT thankfully it didn't.

The board have been a bit slow with transfers since the Morata signing. I would like to believe that they know what they are doing.

Can't wait for the game tomorrow.
