Just like to say I was impressed with Hulk today. He didn't go missing in a big game, put in a good shift and certainly made a difference.
I was disappointed that Brazil didn't pull it together today. It almost looked as though some were trying to live up to the 'flair' that Brazilian teams are known for, instead of playing the game.
Mexico came at them, pressed and made sure passes when in possession. They did the basics right, nothing fancy. Even when Brazil dominated possession, they didn't look like scoring, almost reminding me of a certain Barca game earlier in the year.
I thought Oscar played ok, but the team battled to string passes together which resulted in him not linking up and being as creative as usual, although he did put in some great balls.
Looking forward to the end of silly season and seeing what our squad looks like.

Oscar and Marin are unavailable means only Hazard from the new signing player is available. Also some news coming as Mata will be rested or might play last few minutes coming off from bench.
So just wondering RDM will be taking tomorrows game very seriously just to win or he still intrested in doing some more experiments.
As we will be without marin, i guess RDM might again move to 4-3-3 formation.

There are some guys who wants to put Oscar in one of two holding midfielder role.
After watching all brazil olympic games its clear that the boy is not good in any kind of defensive duties, as he never tracked a player back to get the ball.
But what he is good at is playing as no 10 role for the team. Even capable of shifting to wing when required.
If we want to see best out of Oscar the boy has to play in one of forward three attacking midfielder role in RDM'S prefered 4-2-3-1 formation.

I'd swap rami and mata and have hazard and rami operate as wingers with mata and oscar playing in attacking midfield. if ess comes close to how he used to be this would be perfect as he'd be the 'ball winner' and hes an intelligent player so he has the ability to pick the right pass and feed the more attacking players like mata and oscar

bit worried bout oscar being lightwieght! alot of ppl putting him in deep midfield i think that will be accident waiting to happen! oscar gotta be given a free role type where he can rome where he likes picking up the ball! no way should be playing deep like ppl have suggested! be intresting to see if we play oscar and mata in the same team gotta have one or the other and my prefrence is mata. oscar gotta be bulked up like barca did with messi.

Look at barcelona team on paper,how light weight do they look. If we can zip the ball around quick enough then the opposition won't have the ball to punish us. I would like to see us play more offensive and if that means losing a couple of games then so be it. We have purchased attacking players so lets not hold them back and try to make them defensive players. Let them play there game and exciting football will flow.

Napoli are willing to part with Cavani for around £30million and there has been much coverage in the media over a Chelsea bid. However, this is premature but we can still hope to see a bid within he next week.
With all these new attacking midfielders coming in it would be silly not to include them with cavani in the team so...

I think its safe to say that our defensive tactics are somewhat impossible with all this attack. I mean the most defensive player in the midfield is LAMPARD for crying out loud!
Personally I can't see this lineup happening and I suspect that there will only be 1 striker and 2 in centre mid in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

If we sign Edison Cvani means is it end of Sturridge at stamford bridge?
As both Torres and Cavani will be prefered ahead of him and he wont like being 3rd choice striker.
I have funny feeling that we will sign both Cavani and Victor Moses and might sell Sturridge just before transfer window closes.
The reason i feel behind this is
* Sturridge will be unhappy and furious for being 3rd choice striker.
* He has got just 1 year left on his contract so CFC will sell him this year for 10-12m rather than loosing unhappy player next year for free.
* Sturridge alongwith Meireles ( may be make weight for cavani deal) dose not hold great relationship with RDM as they had with AVB.
* Victor Moses will be happy to be 3rd choice striker or play on right side wingas a substitute when required and will not complain about it.
My guess ins-outs during this transfer window here on will be.......

Hello ED Part ownership question? Could a player play for two clubs at once? half owned (without it being two european clubs in CL). example - brazil league for 1st part of a season and then European league the second, once the 2st season finishes the player returning to his former club? The same sort of deal as a loan deal IE Donavon for La Galaxy and Everton. If not why? and is this place with any current player(s)?. And this is not about Neymar and Chelsea just a thought that has bothered me for while. {Ed002's Note - Not as part ownership in England but a loan as per Donovan is OK.}

How can you question the eds' insight, they have been 100% on all the deals this summer and were generally at least a week in advance of other sources. When people were saying it was certain that Hulk would come, they were adamant that the price was still miles off and so far that is still the case. Occasionally the eds have not been willing to commit to dates for signings but this is understandable as if some unthought of situation arises that changes the deal, then others will question the eds. Clearly you do not really visit the site often and your criticisms are laughable. Although i agree about the endless questions on the same subject as that is very boring.
