So the griezman rumours continue to do the rounds and the koke ones aswell I wanna no what you guys think . they certainly would be a huge improvement to the team no doubt we need a good right mid to chip in with more goals and assists Willian is terrific but doesn't do enough in an attacking sense and we all agree the team is crying out for someone to sit next to matic and protect us more on the big games and offer good technical ranges of passing I dunno how good koke is but I no if he's in Diego someone team he must work his socks off

Koke is really good. Both players would be a great addition. Mentioned players would seriously improve our squad.

Hi Chelsea fans,

I am a Liverpool supporter but I come in peace (trust me). I was just wondering what do you guys think about Gerrard not joining Chelsea during the summer of 2005? Do you guys think it was the right decision for him to not go to Chelsea? Would he have helped Chelsea go to the next level and win the CL (back then under Mou)? Do you think Mou would have managed to get Gerrard and Lampard to work in the same team?

I am of the opinion that it was the right decision if he wanted to keep his legacy at Liverpool, but if he wanted to win more trophies and the title, he probably should have joined Chelsea. I also think that with Mou's tactical nous, Gerrard and Lampard would have been part of quite an impressive midfield trio.

So what do you guys think?

P.S. I can't reply to anything because of some technical error so please don't think I'm avoiding discussion if you guys direct anything at me.

I wasn't really supporting any team back then so I never really put much thought into Gerrard not coming. Like you, I do think Mourinho would've made it work. He's such a great manager and he would've fit them both in the team.
That being said, the midfield was very strong back then and then Ballack arrived later as well so I don't think anyone would complain about our midfield options back then :-)

I think if we got Gerard we would have been dominant in England a lot more than we were and also I think we would have won the champions league under Jose aswell. now I ain't saying he made the right or wrong decision to stay or go only he truly knows that but what I do feel is he made up his mind to go and when the Liverpool fans burnt his jerseys outside anfield he shit himself lol plain and simple apparently he was dead set to go and had a change of heart the only change of heart he has was he didn't have the cohones to leave he would certainly have a far greater trophy cabinet had he done so but hey who nos one thing is for sure Gerard is a legend one of my all time favourites that's even as a Chelsea fan

I think it could have worked out well at Chelsea for Gerrard. Him and Lampard in front of Makelele/Essien would have made a powerful midfield in a 4-3-3 or Gerrard sitting in at CM with Lampard at the top of a diamond could have worked.
Whether it was the right or wrong decision depends really on what Gerrard wants/wanted from his career. If he wanted trophies then it was the wrong decision. If he wanted legend status at Pool, then it was the right decision.

Yes I think mou would have got the best out of him, and from a career point of view he would have won more trophies. But I have nothing but respect for the guy, he stayed true to his love for Liverpool, and has become a legend. Makes a change for a player to put a love and loyalty for a club, in front of his own potential personal gains.

Steve G would take Chelsea on higher level even in 2011 not to mention what he would mean to Chelsea in 2005

Hello ed, hope your well.

I've recently read in the papers that us and Liverpool are interested in pirlo from juve. Is there any truth behind this or just speculation?

Really interesting info on the Manchester United board in reference to Bale, thought I would share it here as it is relevant for Chelsea as well.

{Ed001's Note - nothing new mate, just that both yourselves and Madrid are open to a deal. The main sticking point has actually been Madrid's president Florentino Perez, who loves Bale and is loath to part with him. He was the mover behind bringing him in, it was all about Perez. The fans wanted to keep Ozil instead and have never taken to Bale because he replaced Ozil. There is a great video I saw of the fans asking Bale to take a picture of them with James Rodriguez, which says it all. He is not liked and that is why Perez has been convinced to part with him.

So I do expect a deal to be done, as even Perez has accepted that he needs to be sold, even though he disagrees with the decision. I do know Bale got an approach from Spurs about returning, not sure if it was a realistic approach or just a bit of a jokey one. He has made it plain he doesn't really want to leave Madrid, and he would only be interested in a Champions League team.

I know Man City have tried to sign him in the past, but I think their FFP issues have ruled them out this summer. The only real credible competition I can see would be Chelsea. That might see the price around the same as Di Maria, rather than the monster amount they bought him for, as Madrid don't have much of a market to sell him to.}

Potentially the most exciting transfer of the summer and if he came to us we would have an attack to rival Barca, Bayern and Real.

I don't think the club would pay that much for him. If he moves, he's United bound IMO. And immediately him and Depay would make their attack ridiculous.

I don't want him, would cost too much and spends half the time on the injury table. Money better spent elsewhere.

IMO the whole Griezman thing is a smoke for something else that is happening. Real Madrid is facing a ban from uefa to sign players until summer 2016.They are interested in several players from Chelsea and this is not a secret. Allegedly they've already approached Chelsea. What is going to happen we shall see relatively soon in next two months.

{Ed002's Note - What are you talking about - Griezmann does not play for Real Madrid.}

11 May 2015 15:57:40
Off course he doesn't. I've said Griezman rumours are smoke (Chelsea is not really interested in him, or at least he isn't primary target).
Bale is the real target and swap plus cash could bring him to the Stamford Bridge. You are aware that Bale declined move to MU two years ago.
Like Fabregas if he is back to England I believe that he would prefer to live in London.

Eds, this is so frustrating, everything I post does not show up, or is deleted within a day! It's driving me away.

I apologise if it's a problem my end

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - if it is being deleted then something is attracting abuse for some reason. That is the main reason threads are removed after things are posted. When the abuse gets to a point it becomes more about the abuse than the post, it is just not worth our time editing the replies. As for not showing up, that can be hundreds of things, it may be issues with the sites themselves, as the change over to the new mobile friendly style has not been completely smooth and there are still bugs there. It could be that your internet dropped out at a bad time, that is usually mainly a problem when people are using a phone and mobile date, as 3g/4g connections are still not as reliable as a direct internet connection through the phone line. It could be that you have used symbols that have confused the HTML or many other things. The best way to deal with a problem is to use the contact form to email Ed033 and explain the issue and see if he can solve it.}

Thanks so much ed! Not many people agree with me so must have attracted abuse! No worries mate.

And the internet dropping out is probably the problem! It's quite common for me

If it continues I'll get in touch with ed33

Thanks again

{Ed002's Note - You are a Manchester United fan trolling other clubs pages - a lot of your posts are made to cause trouble. I will still delete any which fall in to that category.}
