Hi ed002. Now that we are no longer interested in Gundogan do you think we would be interested in Kroos if he were to become available?

{Ed002's Note - No.}

If we did sign a CM I'd much rather Gundogan to Kroos. Kroos is quality no doubt, but I have a soft spot for Gundogan. He's also a great playmaker but his main attributes what I like is he has an engine not far from Ramires or Willian he never stops. Also he's much better defensively than Kroos which would make him and Matic CM probably the best around. Although I've said that I would much prefer not see a new CM signed. I can't wait to see Van Ginkel once he's got games under his belt. With Ramires, lamps and maybe Chalobah as backup. The only place we really need to splash the cash is LB hopefully for Shaw. Most people won't agree but we're top of the league with 3 terrible strikers even though I love nando. Why shouldn't we give Lukaku his chance I mean he's got a lot to improve on first touch etc. but he's way better than what we've got now. Then bring someone who he can rotate with.

My transfers

In:

Mandzukic
Shaw

Back From Loan:

Courtois, Chalobah, Zouma, Van Aanholt, Lukaku

Out:

Schwarzer, Hilario, Hutchinson, Luiz, Cole, Mikel, Marin, Moses, Kakuta, Eto, o, Torres, Ba

I would have agreed with you six months ago about Gundogan over Kroos but Gundogan's injury is starting to look worrying. Having been out all season with a 'compression of the spinal chord' and no return date, it has put the likes of us and Real Madrid off, and to be honest I'm not surprised because it sounds career threatening. Kroos there can be no doubt is still a world class player and off a similar ilk to Gundogan - both deep lying playmakers. Although I agree that Gundogan (prior to his injury) showed he has some qualities better than Kroos, there is no doubt for me that Kroos was always a better passer of the ball. It would be hugely beneficial having him spraying balls into our 3 Attacking mids quickly, improving the speed of our transition and not allowing teams to get players behind the ball before it reaches the likes of Hazard. Although I feel that our team has more pressing concerns and another midfielder to play alongside Matic is not a priority, It would be a shame in my opinion to let one of the best players in the world in his position who is available slip through our fingers - he would undoubtedly add to our squad, and with the impending exit of Lampard either this summer or next, the signing would make sense for me. However what do I know, and I'm not going to loose sleep over it! :)

Did anyone watch josh yesterday for wigan, I didn't get the chance to. Hope he ups his game I really like the fella and Aguero probably the player we missed out on that probably hurts the most cause he wanted to play for us so bad.
